Term & Conditions
Welcome to EGS Metering Solutions (Pty) Ltd (“EGS Metering”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing our website, placing an order, or purchasing any products or services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Products and Services
EGS Metering supplies prepaid electricity meters, prepaid water meters, utility management solutions, IoT devices, software, accessories, and related technical and support services. Product specifications, features, and availability may change without prior notice.
2. Pricing
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR). Prices include VAT where applicable, unless expressly stated otherwise. Delivery fees, installation charges, configuration fees, and any other applicable costs will be shown separately where relevant before checkout.
3. Payment
All payments are securely processed through Payfast. Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully received and confirmed. We reserve the right to withhold dispatch or delivery until full cleared payment has been received.
4. Order Acceptance and Confirmation
After successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order, but it does not constitute final acceptance of the order or guarantee product availability. We reserve the right to cancel or limit any order if stock is unavailable, pricing is incorrect, or we are unable to fulfil the order for any lawful reason.
5. Product Availability
All products are offered subject to stock availability. If a product becomes unavailable after payment has been received, we will contact you to offer a suitable replacement, back-order arrangement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timelines provided on the website are estimates only. Actual delivery times may vary depending on stock availability, courier performance, geographic location, public holidays, and circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Risk in the goods will pass in accordance with applicable law and the agreed delivery method.
7. Inspection on Delivery
Customers should inspect products on delivery and notify us as soon as reasonably possible if goods appear damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete. Where goods supplied do not match the order or are not as described, the customer may be entitled to return them in accordance with applicable law and our Returns Policy.
8. Warranty
Manufacturer warranties apply where offered on the relevant product. In addition, consumers may have statutory rights under South African consumer law, including rights relating to defective, unsafe, or unsuitable goods. Warranty cover does not apply to damage caused by misuse, abuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised repairs or modifications, negligence, power surges, or normal wear and tear.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EGS Metering shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, our products, services, or website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.

You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access to any part of the website or related systems, or use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose. We may suspend or restrict access where misuse is suspected.
